 | Heusser, Albert H: The Forgotten General A bibliography notation that Albert Heusser authored the book, "The Forgotten General", an account of the manager, Robert Erskine, of the Ringwood Iron Company, who drew the maps on which Washington's New Jersy campaigns were based. The NJ Historical Society indicates that the Ringwood Iron Company "was established in 1742 by five members of Newark's Ogden family. Located in Passaic County, the ironworks were operated until 1764 by the Ringwood Company, and later by Peter Hasenclever and by Robert Erskine as an agent for the American Iron Company." |
