    • Ollie and Samuel were married in 1905. By September 1909 Samuel had joined the Army and with a duty station at the Presidio of San Francisco, California. On a 1910 US Census document Ollie Mae was shown as divorced, while Samuel J (sic) Stallard was shown on a separate enumeration as a single soldier still stationed at the Presidio. On his 1918 WWI Draft Registration, for reasons unknown (remarriage, reconciliation, convenience, etc.), Samuel Lawrence Stallard listed Ollie Mae as his wife. He would marry Clara Ashe Carr in 1919 even though his divorce from Ollie Mae was not confirmed until 1922 with a listed cause as desertion. Ollie appears to have reached that conclusion in 1910....
