Charles Koch. 60; Services Held
Services for Charles Koch of 61 Lloyd. Rd., a businessman associated with the North Hudson textile embroidery industry, were held yesterday at the Moriarty Funeral Home. Interment was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Mr. Koch died Saturday at home. He was 60. Born in Cliffside Park, he was graduated from Hoboken Academy and attended Columbia University. A former member of the Schiffili Board, his position included soliticing (sic) the industry’s donations to the Boy Scouts. Mr. Koch served as president of the Hoboken Academy Alumni and was a member of its board of directors. A veteran of World War IT, he served in the Pacific Theatre with Headquarters Group of the 409th Field Artillery. He owned the original Bankers Club Building in West New York. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Carr Koch; five daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Ludwigson of Guilford, Conn., Mrs. Elaine L. Berent of Ankara, Turkey; Miss Gertrude Koch, Miss Charlene Koch and Miss Margaret Koch, all of Montclair; a son, Charles Koch of Montclair; a sister, Mrs. Johanna Koch Shultz of West New York and a brother, Frederick W. Koch of Honolulu. Hawaii.
