She had passed her ninetieth year by eight months and two days. Born in north Georgia, she moved with her family to Marshall county at the age of eleven years, where she had resided ever since with the exception of a few months in Jackson county during the War between the States, and several years, later, in DeKalb county; had been a resident of Albertville for the past eight years, making her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. H. McGriff. Mrs. Jane Isbell had been a member of the Primitive Baptist church from early life; she was a good Christian woman and had a host of friends other than the great circle of relatives who will mourn her passing. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter here on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock; from there the body was taken to the family old church at Old Bethel where a short service was held at 12 o’clock, interment taking place in that cemetery. Rev. E. W. Hagood, of the Albertville Baptist Church, and Rev. W. B. Hope, of the Albertville Methodist Church, conducted the services here, while Rev. Pat Gardner officiated at the services at Old Bethel. Surviving are the following children: W. Sherman Isbell, Mrs. J. H. McGriff, Dr. A. L. Isbell, Leander Isbell, of Albertville; Col. D.
